Dear Friends,
This Easter morning, I’ve taken a rare and well-earned pause, something farmers don’t often get to do.
Settled into a comfy kitchen chair with a steaming mug of tea in hand, I’ve just come in from the early rounds. Across the fields, lambing season has begun, and with it comes that unmistakable sense of renewal. New life is everywhere - lambs finding their feet, apple buds swelling on the trees, willow just beginning to flower, and a full chorus of birdsong filling the air. The skylark, as always, leads the charge with the true voice of the British countryside.

It’s moments like these that remind me why sustainable, organic farming matters.
Over the past couple of years, we’ve made huge strides on the farm. Our focus has been on regenerative agriculture and strengthening the land for future generations, from extensive hedge planting to improve biodiversity, to building resilience into every part of the farm.
With the support of Rural Prosperity Funding, we’ve recently proudly built a solar-powered organic butchery. This allows us to process our own organic, grass-fed meat right here on the farm and sell it directly to you, ensuring full traceability, low food miles, and the highest animal welfare standards.
We’ve also taken a major step toward energy independence, installing a 31kW solar system alongside over 50kW of battery storage, moving us firmly toward an off-grid, sustainable farming model.
A heartfelt thank you to North Devon+ for helping make this vision a reality.

If you’d like to support local, sustainable farming, have a browse of our online farm shop. We currently have a range of organic lamb and grass-fed beef boxes available, all raised with care, respect for the land, and a commitment to quality you can trust - which is what we've been working toward.

As your homes fill with friends and family this Easter, I hope you too can find a quiet moment to pause. Whatever your beliefs, this season offers a powerful reminder of renewal, connection, and new beginnings.
Wishing you a spring filled with fresh air, good food, and hopeful starts.
Warmest wishes,
Farmer Olly
